Salir a pasear o tomar algo.

Stress
Meditation is well known for helping us to overcome Stress. It is often the constant thoughts that go on in our minds that cause us stress. We maybe thinking about things we have to do, things that have happened before, worry or how we are going to manage financially. It is a well no fact that worry does not solve anything! Worrying does not give us any assistance in solving any problems, is only creates more turmoil in the process, it is normally when we come to a clearly state of still after the emotion of a situation, that we then know for ourselves what we need to do.
Meditation can help us to find out calm place, that is beyond the chatter of the mind. And this in turn can give us the tools to exist in our lives, more affectively and efficiently without giving ourselves high blood pressure in the process!
It can also give us a calm space to look at the situation more holistically and objectively, to quite often see that the problem is not as bad a thought!
Stress, in some eastern teachings, is said to be mearly our minds resistance to what is… so by accepting the situation, whatever it may be, and then making a decision about it, where to accept it as it is and move on, or to change it, can sometimes be helpful… but this for most of us can be quite idealistic, and is quite a developed approach to our experiences, but maybe we can aim for this at some stage in our lives.
The adoption of appropriate practices and habits can help prevent stress before it alters your lifestyle negatively. Making positive changes in our lives can help to reduce stress. Maybe by looking more objectively at the sources of our stress and seeing if we can make some changes to the situation to help reduce that which is causing us our stresses.
The main causes of stress is said to be emotional and psychological factors, as well as our perception through our education or up bringing.
Regular practice of a sport can have a dual beneficial effect. On one side it can discharge tension in the muscles and on the other it can also give us a period of time free from work and problems.
It is also helpful when we actively have time away from our stressful situation, to let our minds be free from the thoughts that relate to our stress, and not have contact with these things such as having our mobile/cell phones.
It is also desirable to devote time to nurturing our passions, aside from our work and concerns. Maybe to take a walk or something. Even getting used to sitting in a park without doing anything.

To help overcome a situation of chronic stress, it maybe advisable to try and alter the factors in our environment that could be triggers our stress.
To act on the environmental issues, it is essential that you identify the factors that are causing the stress, whether it is an overload of work or maybe economic problems, etc..
The solution obviously depends on each individual case, but in most cases just good time management, planning and setting goals that are more easy attainable can really help.
If we are able to overcome the stress in certain situations, it will allow us to increase our effectiveness, and therefore allow us to achieve higher goals for ourselves.
Other times it will be necessary for us to act directly by removing the factors
completely. This may mean leaving the city at the weekend when traffic is unbearable to us, or even stopping our work in the case that it has become to negative for us.
To try and alter negative thoughts it maybe advisable to master a good strategy of managing your stress. If you are not able to avoid environmental factors, it might be possible to adjust a combination of these things, to increase the effectiveness of change.
Often, it can simply be enough just to lower our own high standards in the pursuit of perfection and actually just to see that all experiences are paths to learning more about ourselves.
The key, ultimately, is learning to stop and reflect on what really matters.
